We believe that a busy toddler is a happy toddler, so we fill each day with hands-on learning experiences. At this age, children are quickly developing their language and social skills, so we provide lots of guidance while still giving them the independence they crave.
Examples of Avitivities Provided by our Caring Staff:
Providing paints, markers, crayons, chalk for expressive arts
Providing sensory materials such as sand and water play, finger paint, etc...
Making routines such as eating, toileting, hand washing, sleeping, clean-up a big part of daily activities
Allowing for large and small group activities
Providing share games such as matching colors, animals etc...
Offering manipulative materials to stimulate problem solving and hand-eye coordination (legos, puzzles, large beads for stringing, play dough)
Providing toys that represent real everyday things, such as zoo animals, cars, trucks, etc. for imaginative play
Reading to children using colorful picture books, asking questions about what the child is seeing
Providing for lots of physical movement throughout the day - playground, push/pull toys, balls & beanbags for tossing
